Martinsville, Ohio | A salvage Prius something I have no knowledge of Bill.
If it is anything like the salvage Olds Achieva I bought in 2000 with 4343 miles on it for $6,000, it is a buy.
I bought that when I was driving to New York 420 miles one way about every week.
After 135,000 miles I sold it for $1000 to a needy family a year ago and they are still driving it.
It was one of the cheapest vehicles to own I ever owned, got 30 MPG. And it served as a college car for one of the kids, became the family beater.
It won't touch the 90 Dakota I bought new for $12,500 and ran cheaply for 377,000 miles. I gave it away when it needed thousands in repairs and paid for itself many times over in mileage reimbursements for my work.
As a farmer I would buy a new Chevy or Ford flexfuel and burn our E-85 we have locally now.
A salvage one might be even better, I have not seen one but I am not looking for one right now, either.
I have to support my industry.
