I am a Methodist, have been all my life. Go to Church regularily, will miss on occasion, have had friends email to make sure we are ok if we miss more then 1 week. I don't have a problem with that.
On a regular basis we have more nonmemers then members in Church. Our Church is proud of that, it means we are reaching out to others. We also have a fairly large group of former Catholics that are regular attendees.
I have been to Luthern and Catholic services and have been uncomfortable in being a members only Church. In our Church we practice open communion where all who feel they want to take communion can. The feeling is Jesus would have fed all that came not just the members.
I am not trying to start anything, I am just happy where I am.
