Look, I'm gonna assume that ethanol.org has about the most optimistic assessment out there. Here's there own study, which is as political ss any.

Most optimistic is a positive energy balance of around 1/3. For every 3 units of energy you get out, you invest 7 units, this really isn't in dispute. That's why i said that it's a marginal increase, and, in the past, it's mainly been used in times of war time shortage, etc.
