Western Oregon | I have the tractor in the hay shed because our shop is too small to lift the engine out of a White. You can spit a big tractor but lifting that big an engine/transmission combo like that is a challenge.
We came in from the side with a hay squeeze. Used the side shift move engine forward, then lifted up and backed out. I think it is easier to come in from the side with a forklift. Tried the loader tractor from the front and it would not lift it safely. (Moline Jetstar 3 with Schwartz loader)
It is too dusty to pull heads or expose too much of the engine. Just doing as quick a swap as possible. Of course it is taking twice as long as I wanted. Might be able to get engine in tomorrow, have it running Friday? | |
