Some beers are paturized to kill off the yeast & stuff.

Schell's isn't. You do notice the difference down the road....


Was watching a bit of that Andrew Zimmerman Food Network show, where he eats all sorts of odd things. He's from St. Paul, he did a show on MN foods yesterday.

He found sour kraut pie up north somewhere. It looked like a coconut cream or some such - only had sour kraut there in the filler, with pudding & some sort of whipped cream or mirange.

I'd have to think about _that_ for a while before eating, some things just don't seem to go together!
