| I haven't seen anybody mention analog coverage yet, but if you've got a local provider that still offers it then it gives you another connection option out in the boonies if you pick a phone that does analog as well as digital. I lost some coverage in fields and areas away from the main highway when our local provider powered down the analog towers. Wish I'd got a Blackberry now, because my other phone was a free upgrade just over a year ago and chosen specifically because of the analog option. Now I've gotta wait for an almost free Blackberry. I'll second those that recommend something with Bluetooth so you can use a headset (Jawbone here- not perfect but really good noise reduction). I hate stopping the tractor to answer a phone because I can't hold the phone and operate everything properly. I can do handsfree voice dialing by just pushing a button on the headset, too.
