Subject: Re: 4430 seems to be running hot. (update)

Danville, Illinois
I swapped out the thermostats last night. I didn't want to run it last night at 9:00 PM in the rain so I will test it tonight to see if that helps. The radiator does look like it may be limed up some. From what I can tell it is the original radiator. The tractor is a 73 model with 4800 hours on it.

Are the Shoupe radiators any good?? They are about $600.00. If the thermostats do not fix it I may have to pull the radiator and either put a new one in or have this one boiled out.

Where can I get a heat gun from to check the engine temp??
