Subject: Re: What were the first no-til drills and planters?

Centralia, MO
I remember a neighbor getting an early AC planter and planting some double crop beans for my dad in the early 70's. It was basically a coulter on the front frame and a double disk opener unit. Then a year or two later the AC dealer brought around a 2 row !!! demo unit. Dad tried it in some corn stalks and promptly broke a coulter off. After that we didn't try no-till again until the 7000 planters came out.
