NW Washington
I think Allis Chalmers had some of the first no-till planters on the market.

Some the first no-tills drills I remember were the Haybuster drills, and they are still making basically the same drill. The Bettison no-till end wheel drill from the UK which became a Melroe and then Lilliston and was also sold as a MF drill was one of the early no-till drills too. It had a straight coulter in front of the double disc openers. Then there was the monster Yielder drills made in the PNW by the same folks who now make the Exactrix NH3 machines. Yielder drills were first called Pioneer drills until the seed corn folks complained. When did the John Deere 750 arrive on the scene? I think the 750 really got the no-till drill business going.
