We double cropped tons of bean acres during the the AC planter time frame with a 7000 JD planter. Worked very well as long as you kept the boxes over half full. Also did lots of wheat with the JD double disc 8300 drills. Worked well in soybean fields esp if you got to harvest the beans when it was a little dry, then get a shower and get after it with the wheat drill. Also planted lots of corn stalk ground into wheat with the 455 JD drill. Wet harvests were the down fall of those past programs but not sure it is much different today even with our no till equipment.
