I've planted big seed like that with mine and didn't have much problem at all,are your baffles on your units all set the same?I've had one or two get bumped off of setting 2 and as soon as you move it back where it belongs the seed starts shooting right thru.I never use that much graphite either,when I have had problems I run the bulk fan up to 3500 and that seems to help too.
