Sac & Story county IA
That old stuff was really dangerous, wasn't it? Open drive chains, universal joints, etc.
When I was teaching my kids to run machinery, stuff like a 4840 was easier. You couldn't start in gear, leave the brakes set and drive away. With a cab, you couldn't fall off and get run over.
North of 40 years later, my wrist hurts from where I broke it cranking a tractor.
