I started out on a mm-u had electric start but once in a while you had to crank it. Dad always said don't spin the crank because you may end up with a broken arm or jawif it kicks back. He said just pull up on crank and it will start, well you know kids when no one is looking you just have to try what you were told not to do. We often had some sore arms from kick back,lucky my three brothers and I never got a broken arm from it.
