Subject: Seeding canola with Valmar

Saskatchewan
Hey Guys,

I wasn't sure if this should be in this section or not but here it goes...

I have never seeded canola with a Valmar before (and I don't own one currently) but I know other guys in the area that swear by it. I have some questions I hope the experienced guys can help me out with - please bear with me - these questions may seem kind of 'green'...

1. How does a Valmar work?

2. Can I put any size Valmar on any cultivator?

3. How much capacity does a Valmar have?

4. What kind of shape does the land have to be in when I make my seeding pass with a Valmar?

5. How is seeding rate adjusted?

6. If I use a Valmar on a field cultivator, do I have to make a second pass with harrows or are the harrow tines on the back of the cultivator enough?

7. How deep do you seed canola with a Valmar?

Thanks for the help - I would like to start using this system but I know nothing about them....

Chris
