As far as the 787 goes, our grief has mainly been with two things: the meter switches and the darn wrench seed adjustments. The former don't work right and the later is a pain in the rear and on the wrong side of the tractor!

The 1900: Larger seed tanks. Easier, quicker and safer tank lids. easier and safer platform. fill auger can be run from the top. Indicator lights to help with filling. Far superior meter clutches and accessible!!!! On the fly, in cab seed rate adjustment! In cab monitor with diagnostic capabilities. Hmmm....I have to be forgetting something. Full run blockage sensors (though it could be added to a 787 setup).

However, if you want an air drill that is as close to set it and forget it, that would be a 787 setup. Dead simple as long as meter switches and unit up/down switch are working. It takes some brains to get everything going on a 1900 and if anything goes goofy, some brains to figure it out.
