Central Ohio | Scott, I'm from Marion Co, so am in your area. We have had a 36' 1850 and 787 for a long time and just bought a 30' 1850 and 1900 for just about the exact dollars you are talking about from Wyandot Tractor in Upper Sandusky. However, we had to rebuild our purchase. It was worn out. Boots, blades and many bearings. If that is all in good shape and any electronic gremlins are worked out, sounds like a good deal. 1900 is a WAY nicer cart than 787. However, if any of the electronical seed sensing controllers or sensors go, they are spendy!
Pay attention to what mhagny says. His website is very helpful. We just outfitted our 36' in 15" rows and put on Needham wheels (CIH SDX are an option as well) and the Thompson closing wheels. The bearings in Deere's cast closers are a PAIN IN THE butt not to mention the cast closers will not close if the soil is damp. | |
