N AL | Acreage is determined by size, speed and efficiency. You are the only one that can determine the right number to use for efficiency. How many breakdowns do you anticipate? How efficient are in getting moved from field to field and keeping the equipment producing. How fast can you fill the planter? Are you unloading the combine on the go. If you are a one man operation and have to do all the "odd" jobs yourself that slows you down. The same size equipment on two different farms may cover vastly different amounts of ground in a day. It does not matter what size equipment you have when it is sitting at the edge of the field waiting on something or somebody. | |
