I lost the drive shaft on a 1976 C70 going up the highway 40 mph with 400 bushels of milo on it. Fortunately it broke the back end instead of the front end. Beat up the hoist valve a little ... it broke the pivot off for the valve control linkage ... but that was the extent of it. Required a new drive shaft. Pulled it off the road with the old 65 Chevy half ton fuel truck. Not very fast, but I got it off the road. Traded her the other day. I'm going to miss that old truck.
