SC Iowa | I did that one time, had a chevy LUV I had put 4x4 under, going down the interstate pulling a 24' gooseneck (had a bigger engine too) and the rear U-joint came off. Hit the clutch and kept looking in the mirrors to see witch ditch the shaft flew into but when I got stopped it was still hooked to the transfer case, nothing hurt, little ding in the gas tank. Grabbed a 1/2" wrench pulled the shaft off at the transfer, put her in 4x4 and was on the road again in 5 min. Yep, they make a lot of noise when their unhooked! TORQUE | |
