Subject: Re: Latest project.....new sheds

Pittsburg, Kansas

That is the worst problem with only 40' wide trusses. The idea is at least for one of the sheds that the two planters folded up will store side by side in the closed end of the shed. Then we will use the open half for combines or tractors that are startable. That is the idea anyway, the closed in end for dead equipment then use the open end only for stuff that starts and moves. We will see how it works out. Thought about leaving both ends open but that either lets a lot of snow/rain in or you have to park the stuff way inside. Didn't really want to go to the trouble of building doors. Rather spend the effort/dollars on more square footage.

The big shed will be open on both ends for a drive through for the trucks and trailers. It will have a 20' lean-to off each side with the east side open with a beam across one truss for 16' openings. Not the best situation but it is what we had to work with and I think we will get enough square footage that a little less efficient space will not be as much of a problem.

At least we will be paying taxes on something useful rather than on empty turkey barns.

John
