Well if you tell him you'll lower the price 10% that you would have
gave after the first of the year, see how that lights his fire.

I 'd say the fellow could care less if he sells it or not . He has
most likely wrote it off on his book's as a loss so if he does sell
it the full value would be taxable. ( question by taxman what happen
here)
Or maybe its the perfect draw to get folks in the door and sell them
something better.
I have seen people take a bull head position about somethings like
letting the person they traded with winning . (EGO)
But up pricing after you price it usually makes sure that your going
to lose a customer.
Just what I have seen.
