I agree w/PB. Handling that 10/3 cable would be much harder than handling the individual wires. I assume this is for 220v & one wire will be ground? You could use green colored wire for that job, or just use 3 blacks & use your VOM to identify & mark them w/colored tape after you've accomplished (& it will be just that!) getting the wires thru. My guess is the water pipe is NOT a straight run.

Good luck though & report back when done, please. Lots of good ideas here on pulling wire.
