Subject: 9510 grinding stems to a pulp !



Our 9510 sure seems to be slugging through the soybeans this year. When you shut the seperator down and look at the stems on the walkers it looks like they've been through the chopper already. The old 6620 never gound them up quite this bad this early in the season. What are some issues that might be causing this. It runs like its constantly running slugs through even though they 're feeding through the head real nice. Have the feeder drum moved to the lower setting. Theres nothing coming back down the feeder house. Running about 320 cyl rpm. Doesn't seem to matter much if I change concave clearance from 15 to 45. Any ideas to look at here or is that the way the beans are this year. They don't seem overly tough this year. Its not splitting the beans at all either.
