dieselade, where in wcin are you? We're along the IN / IL state line between Danville, IL & Covington, IN ( near the Beef House). WE had 12" in 13 days back in early June. Corn yields really dropped off in the low ground, even where it didn't appear to have water damage with yields in the double digits. High ground in the same fields, even same rows, were some of the best ever. Low ground had poor brace roots & lots of rootworm damage, especially in the triple stacks

Tissue testdid show low N levels in the stalks but my question, is that because of N loss in the soil or because of poor N takeup due to poor root system because of rootworms? Or most likely a combination of both.
