I'm certainly no expert here but I'll repeat what my co-op branch manager told me this year. They don't take corn over 24% because they would have to run it through the dryer twice. He says that will really hurt the quality of the grain. Maybe they are in a unique situation since they handle a lot of grain and need to turn it fast. I do know that anything under 19% doesn't even see the dryer, it just goes to the bins.
