I think the main reason that Raven products are supported more so than other brands is their popularity and relability. I don't think Ag Leader wanted to reinvent the wheel so having their products work with a popular brand such as Raven seemed like a reasonable approach.
There are a lot of good brands out there but my experience is limited to Raven.
