| Which is interesting because on some of my more 'variable ground' it was my worst - necked/down on a lot of it. This was with 5.5lb/acre of force. However, (big however), I feel this was poor hybrid placement for me. Lots of folks complained about the past years a18,19,20 and pioneer in general as being inconsistent (great stalks, but not enough yield), but last years hybrids were perfect for a lot of the ground I farm. I'm thinking the seed companies are all gunning for maximizing yields on flat black well drained which doesn't always work on more variable soils. I probably should try just a little 6169 on my tougher fields to see what it does - I'm guessing it will struggle.
