The ripple tin is better than covering the fingers. Covering the fingers just continues to move the problem rearward and plonk it on the chaffer where it again takes a lot of chaffer space to get it resolved. The fingers will seperate and untangle the mog and the ripple tin can better continue that seperation as the material hits the front of the chaffer.

Here's a link to may machine with pictures. It will show you a view of the full length fingers I put in this year. It worked fantastic.
