southeast indiana | i recently bought a 1480 that supposedly needed minor work.after cleaning it up and looking around it needs a complete rebuild.all i bought it for was to shell corn.what could i do to help performance wise? i was thinking 1680 cage and concaves and 2 elephant ears? also it only has one sieve (top one) could get by with one for corn i think.maybe. how hard would it be to convert to a long shoe?performance advatages?already bought keystock grates, disrupters, notched bars and rotor bars. aside from rotor rest of machine is good.new motor, pto, unloading system, final drives, throat, cone and ac.3100 hrs just needs a little love. would really like to make it a corn shelling monster. thanks in advance kevin | |
