Bourbon,Indiana | Yes, I suppose they could complain about that. But in reality it only adds about 15 bushels to bring me to a 400 bushel average load. Without them I could only get abour 385bu average loads. The literature states though, that with 20" sideboards (which is what I have not counting the wood), capacity is 400 bu. They also list 24" side boards, same model gear & box, which puts the bushel capacity at 415 (their figures). So in all actuality, I should be within specs. Although these days it seems as if everything is built with no overage in capacity, i.e. build a 400 wagon and put a gear under it which will handle only 400bu. in the best conditions. I want something which is over built, & these kilbros have seen a lot of use in not so good conditions. I have been happy with them so far. box specs:http://allianceag.com/killbros/literature/KB%20Grain%20Wagon-1-web.pdf gear specs:http://allianceag.com/killbros/literature/farm%20wagon-sm-web.pdf |
