MN | I had a 79 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4, 350, 4spd auto, full time 4wd. Had a lot of fun in that truck, cost $3000, two engines and a lot of tires and u joints. Full time 4-wd and still got 13mpg. Installed a kit for part time 4 WD and picked up two mpg (if you weren't beatin the tar out of it). The fastest it ever went was right before it spun the #2 rod brg. I think having the spedo pegged, letting off and waiting 1/2 a mile before the needle dropped off 85 might have had something to do with it. I did catch the Monte that I was chasin though. Dang women they'll get ya in trouble everytime. | |
