NE SD | We're going through the same thing you are. Our planter showed up about two weeks ago. I've been trying to get an honest answer out of our dealer about what it's going to cost but it looks like by the time you upgrade wedgeboxes on the planter to the 2009 version, and install the "RowCommand" it is going to be very close in cost to what it would be to purchase the Deere Rate Controller and add all of the Trucount stuff for 12 sections. That said, if you need the Rate Controller for something else, or already have it, you'll be better off with Trucount. I think we'll go with the Deere as it will come with 16 sections, be completely tied in, and at the present we have no use for a rate controller. |
