| This came from our Motorola dealer today. He also attached two pdf files about the change over if someone is interested.
"January 1, 2011. No manufacture can certify a new radio with wideband capabilities. Current manufactured radios are capable of both wideband and narrowband.
January 1, 2013. All VHF and UHF licensees both business and public safety MUST be changed over to narrowband.
Your frequency will NOT change. Just the amount of bandwidth you take up for modulation."
