| Yes a license is required. It is getting more expensive but if you don't get one you: 1-might get turned in to the fcc if you choose a channel that is licensed to someone else close to you. 2-wont be protected against somebody coming in on top of you using the same channel.
It seems like there will always be some sectors of business that will continue to use 2-way radios so just because cell phones are used extensively now for most communication, don't expect all FM channels to be abandoned. | |
