Subject: That's a goofy way to secure doors..

Kittitas Co. Wa. State

Is that the best Morton could come up with??

Bummer about the bent up combine.  After looking at the pic's first thought that came to mind was, that's about the dumbest setup for securing doors I've seen in a while.

How about a couple of steel tubes set back from the door maybe 2 feet that would accept smaller steel tubing which could be hinged and when the doors were opened the post would slide up out of the floor with larger steel tubing embedded in cement. Then the post could simply swing over flat to the sliding door?  I'd leave the bottom out of the tubing mounted FLUSH with the floor to prevent any snow-water freezing in it. Thou by placing the floor tubing 2 feet inside from the door it would be less likely to freeze up in the winter.

LOL.. I'm suprised Morton didn't just stick a couple of old 2x4's propped up to wedge the doors closed.. About the only thing that would be more "low tech"....

What'a crazy setup.....
