Macon, IL | I run an older AgLeader so may be different than some. I count a LOAD as a full truck sent off to elevator-so for the first few loads I just make sure I don't get a hopper that has to be split-if I do then I count those two as 1 load. Then when the truck returns I go back in and enter the actual weight and after about 3 or 4 of those it is pretty darn close. I think just opening fields, end rows and all I get the variations of speed required without making a special effort to slow down or speed up.
I usually don't recalibrate for the whole season-but I have a pretty small operation so maybe after a week or so or if changing to drastically different varieties you may want to repeat that process...or maybe only if it starts varrying from the elevator or whatever scale you are using. | |
