You are right - we don't intend to have anything drive the combine (except me), but it would keep the guess row between planter passes more stable - better for combining 8 rows of 12 planted. My main concern was to be able to apply manure in strips (probably 5 rows) accurately enough to plant 12 rows on top of them in the spring.
