Only way the nice price for your 4430 matters is if you were selling it outright and not replacing it, as the price of the replacement has risen enough lately to offset the good money for your old one.

I bet the dollars layed out once you are done won't be any different than if you did it a year or two ago when both tractors were cheaper.

Now, if the 4430 needs a engine and transmission OH or something--that would be different.
Also, since you say "its paid for" I will assume you would be borrowing on the new one. I wouldn't. If the products you sell are making good money (hay, grains), then pretty soon you won't have to borrow. If you have lots of livestock and aren't cashing in on the good profits the grain guys have right now, then not a good time to go in hock.

Waiting has been a small mistake for me a few times, but plunging has the potential to be a much larger one.

If you are flush with cash, then ENJOY the new one.
