Leesburg, Ohio | Our hydroswing will push a pretty good pile of snow out of the way when it opens. Has to be more than 6 inches or so of snow before it will even drag on the snow. Our approach has a slight slope to it, and we have heat in the floor, so some of the floor heat bleeds out and melts snow and ice for about 6 to 12 inches on the outside. Our door is a 16'x34', and by the time it is swung out two or three feet, it will clear the rest of the snow drift.
After having a hydroswing, I would never want to go back to the hassles of sliders or to an overhead. We have a 14x14 overhead on the back of the shop, and have had constant trouble with it...opener had been on the fritz continually for the last 6 months, even after having it worked on about 6 or 8 times. We are thinking about putting a hydroswing in a an older pole building also. | |
