Subject: RE: IH 966 slow Hyd at the remotes

1) The 66 series hydraulic control levers wear out, and the linkage cannot push/pull the valve spool into the full raise or full lower position, which will affect flow. You should be able to feel the valve detent "click" into the float, lower, neutral, and raise positions.
2) The relief valve can fail, but this is normally a sudden failure; not gradual.
3) The hydraulic pump can wear out. This is the pump in front of the RH rear axle. It is separate from the steering & T/A hydraulics. This happens gradually. If it turns out to be the pump, don't waste money on a seal kit. Get a reman pump.
4) The seal on the pump mounting flange can fail. This normally happens suddenly.
5) You didn't say if the three-point hitch was weak also. It's on the same hydraulic circuit as the remotes.
If your hitch has quit you, you could have blown seals in the rockshaft deck and in the draft cylinder/valve assembly, which would also affect the remotes.
