Willacoochee, GA | Someone needs to take up for the honest fert. and chem. dealers around, so I will. I work for an independent dealer in south ga, we try to buy everything as cheaply as possible, but it does not always work. It is not true that we buy product hoping that it will go up so that we can make more money on it, sometimes products do go up after we buy them, but not often. My experience has been that the chem prices stay fairly flat from Jan. to Dec., this year has been an exception and not many dealers expected it. In short, don't blame the dealer, if farmers knew the margins on crop chemicals they would realize that we are all in the same boat.
