Subject: BASF increases HEADLINE $22

East Prairie, MO

Well BASF is "passing it on" to us. Word was last summer that they had large injury claims in Illinois and whether that's true or not, they have raised prices to their dealers by $22.00/gal. Would be a convenient way to cover a large claim wouldn't it? Our local guys (dealers) that had product on hand in their warehouses were asked by BASF a while back to send back all the headline so they could "re-label and re-package" so, on good faith, they all did. Only to find out when they ordered it again that it had all gone up $22.00! Most of the dealers here said "No Thanks" and are pushing other brands due to their "dirty pool" way of handling the situation.

When the other companies follow suit we can just blame it on BASF for leading the way. I know I'll be using something else this year and for the last 2 years I have been 100% headline on all my corn AND soybean acres!
