Subject: Re: Planting progress in the south?

Elizabethtown,KY
I started Apr. 3rd last year, but that seems highly unlikely for this year, we had 2.4" on Wed., and it all ran off as the ground was already saturated, all our river and creek bottoms flooded, some still have water standing in lots of spots. Even the upland fields have standing water in many places, I don't think I can remember a winter as wet as this one has been and I will be 60 this year. My usual start date for corn is around Apr 10th if conditions allow.
