NW Tennessee

Last year at this time we had most all field work done, ground slicked down and ready to plant. Also bedded ground had been rowed up and knocked down with most if not all P & K out. This year we don't even have our wheat fertilized and no field work at all, haven't turned a tire. I'm guessing it will be a week for us before we can do anything. Now the Mississippi is predicted to go to at least 41.5 feet at Caruthersville, MO! That's 9.5 ft above flood stage and we will have a big water with LOTS of acres underwater in this county.

We like to plant corn the last week of March and on into first week of April. Cotton planting for us is usually last of April through first week of May.  Usually don't plant any April beans, any time after May 1st is fine. These are ideal times for our farm, IMO. That said, if we have to, we will plant corn up to the end of April, cotton till the end of May, and beans on into July.
