Subject: RE: Conventional hybrids - the future of Ag

I buy a good bit of my corn seed from Augusta, a regional company that focuses on the East Coast from SC to PA. Covering a smaller area they have a smaller number of hybrids than the national companies and they seem to offer most of their hybrids with or without traits. Augusta's hot new hybrid isn't even available with any traits this year, just plain corn. When completing my seed purchases with several other companies this winter I realized I over did it on Bt. I called my Augusta dealer to change my order and no problem, same hybrid in the seed size I requested was available in non Bt and I got a check back a week later for the price difference. From what I've seen Mycogen also offers a good number of hybrids with or without traits.
