central - east central Minnesota -
ASV or CAT track skidsteer w/ braker hammer and scrap bucket. Those tracks will only scuff the grass (unless you are working in really wet ground). Grass will recover fast. If it is a little wet, then use those machines and lay down some plywood for matts (fasten together. Hall all day in and out with ASV type tracked machine and plywood and not damage anything. Don't turn on the grass/plywood if possable. Other track type machines will work, but from my experence do more damage - not as much as a wheeled machine though. I did a smaller step and patio and had no ruts and used no pads (lawn was dry) no damage and water the grass when finished and 2 wks later couldn't even tell. Good luck and make her happy !
