Alberta, Canada | My theory is simple. There's a reason warranty costs so much. They need to make enough money from that to pay for all the claims.
It works both ways. If it's cheap, why not go for it? If it's expensive, there has to be a reason.
But why are they offering a discount?
In the past we haven't gotten extended warranty on much of anything, but after a 16k repair bill on a transmission failure in our New Holland TV145 at 2,027 hours, I think I'll be ensuring extended warranty is put on pretty much everything from now on.
Also helps for resale.......... waits for the snickering & scoffing to die down........... I'm looking at a used tractor now with 1,507 hours on it. If it had warranty, It'd be in my shed right now. But it doesn't. So I don't think it'll ever see my yard. | |
