I can't tell ya about your deere, but I do have a philosophy on never buying an extended warranty.   Have ya ever bought anything from best buy?   Down right gotta get mad at the salespeople before they back off on the extended warranty.  Not only does the salemen make money off ya, the company doesn't offer it unless they do too.

Its like gambling, but the odds are in your favor by keeping your money in your pocket (same goes for Vegas).
