snow is very abrasive. probably tightened the tracks at it packed into the space between bushings and shoes. tracks usually have to be ran looser. rails will squeak and sqwauk no matter what we do. pushing snow is harder on a tractor than pushing sand, at least when in sand it isn't 20 below where oil turns to #2 grease. we tell the county we would rather push snow with rubber tires for free than with a Cat for money. | |
