THANKS! I like your answer. I suspected "marketing" more than physics or chemistry. I'm pretty sure I know of a couple vehicles w/mixed stuff in them now. I don't see any sludge or dripping gaskets....yet. I understand that if you mix "standard life" stuff w/long-life stuff, you'll not get long life stuff. Most everything works like that anyway. We can use de-ionized water in our mixing process also if that would mean anything.

Why would the "dexicool" be hard on aluminum? Aren't there a lot of aluminum GM radiators?
